After two inspiring days in Hackerhouse, where we delved into the technical aspects of blockchain and participated in the hackathon, it was time to look beyond. We explored what solutions are currently being developed to address the challenges of the digital world. Our next stop was the
SmartCon
event, a hotbed of innovative ideas and emerging technologies that promise to shape the future.
SmartCon 2023 Blockchain and AI
A Window to the Future
SmartCon distinguished itself as one of the best organized Web3 events, which clearly illustrated the growth phase blockchain is in. Both the Hackerhouse, SmartCon itself, and the after parties took place in prime locations where every detail had been thought out. The team, made up of brilliant minds from institutions such as Harvard, MIT and former senior executives from tech giants such as Google, Facebook and Microsoft, showed significant growth. Chainlink is setting its course at the enterprise level (targeting large organizations and companies), aiming for mass adoption and is ready to enter the real business world by partnering with prominent entities such as Swift (a global financial infrastructure) and Google.

Blockchain and AI
A Distinctive Conversation
During SmartCon, there was room for many big names, including
Eric Schmidt
who is considered one of the creators of digital developments. Eric Schmidt along in a panel with Sergey Nazarov gave insights into the problems posed by AI, especially at a time when validating information is crucial. With the help of Google’s AI technologies, content can be generated more easily than ever, creating the challenge of confirming the authenticity of this information. The dialogue highlighted how blockchain, with its ability to verify data, can play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of information, creating a synergy between blockchain and AI that solves the problem of disinformation.
Towards a Verifiable Web
After the discussion, Sergey Nazarov presented a visionary look at how blockchain and AI together can realize a verifiable Web. The event highlighted how the verification power of blockchain combined with the data-processing capabilities of AI form an inescapable collaboration. This collaboration paves the way to a future where AI backed by verifiable data via blockchain can be deployed securely and efficiently, opening doors to a new era of digital authenticity and trust.
SmartCon 2023
SmartCon provided not only a platform for sharing knowledge and ideas, but also a glimpse into the future where blockchain and AI are working together to transform the way we interact with digital information. The talks and presentations during the event served as a stimulating reminder of the rapidly developing technological times ahead.

Reflections and Prospects
SmartCon 2023 highlights the synergistic potential of blockchain and AI. As disinformation increases, the combination of blockchain’s verification capability and AI’s data processing can solve authenticity issues. The involvement of industry giants such as Google highlights the importance of this collaboration. The idea of a “verifiable web” opens the door to a future of increased digital trust and authenticity. The speed of technological advances, as shown at SmartCon, underscores the need to keep up in this digital age.
